to the guy who has given this 1 star for a solus only version. What happens if you lose, scratch or otherwise break your original CD and need to buy another?? If I already have the kit I wouldn't want to buy it all again would I? C'mon think before you post.

Whichever idiot buys Guitar Hero solus and then goes home and thinks 'right how do I play this' is a complete and utter idiot.

this product is so much fun- you sing along with the songs and play the instruments. you feel like you are a real rock star - it teachs you to hand / eye co-ordination and allows more than one person to play along. i would recommend this for age 10 up.

I was so looking forward to the release of this game as I've got all the others and quite enjoy a little bit of rocking out in my own home but I could not have been more disappointed!

You CANNOT play this game without added instruments which you are NOT warned of on Amazon's website nor the game packaging its self.

I have to ask what is the point to selling this game solus if you still have to buy separate instruments???

It is the same with Rock Band - available as a solus package but useless, as again you cannot play without added instruments!!

Shame on you, the makers of GH and Rock Band - you made the game too costly by forcing people to purchase extra equipment.

I for one do not have the room to store drums and guitars for Rock Band AND Guitar Hero as they do not work on each others - again meaning that you have to buy separate instruments for each game.

I've given this game 1 star but there wasn't the option of zero stars - otherwise I would have!

To sum up: DON'T buy this game unless you have enough money to buy the bundles too.

Pardon me for being dumb, but if I buy this game, does anyone know if I will be able to play it just with the guitar I already have?

I could do without filling my house with more bumph, like a drum kit!

In addition to guitar hero: legends of rock i bought guitar hero: world tour. It's a good follow up and it play's nice. It is a little bit easier than legends of rock. Almost every number i can play on expert difficulty. I play it with the 'old' GH3 guitar and there isn't a slider on the neck of that one, so if you have the old guitar you missing some of the fun.

Concerning this game, I was a little disappointed, because I liked Guitar Hero 3 Legends Of Rock very much, after that I played Guitar Hero Metallica, which was a bit lower in quality, but this game (GHWT)just didn't satisfy me. The songs chosen are very low in quality and there is absolutely no difficulty. Some songs of course are good (Hotel California, Sweet Home Alabama, Eye Of The Tiger, the Tool songs)but overall there is a lack in real Rock/Metal music which should get back on this game. Why call it Guitar Hero if you play songs which include almost no guitar or in which the parts you "play" are easier than anything else ?
